Pricing

$25 per node per month.
Everything else is free.

One price per monitored node, billed on the minutes it actually ran. Traces, logs, metrics, retention and users are never metered — they cost disk you already own.

Air-gapped

Annualhand-carried license

For environments where an outbound connection is not a policy question — it is a physical fact.

  • Signed annual .lic file, carried in
  • No call-home of any kind
  • Signed usage export for true-up at renewal
  • Offline image + Helm bundle
  • Classified, OT and regulated deployments

What a node-minute actually means

A node counts while a collector on it is alive — an installed-but-idle node still meters, a node that scaled down at 14:03 stops metering at 14:03. Usage rolls up in an append-only ledger inside your core, visible to you on the license page before it is ever visible to us.

Cost calculator

Estimate what you'd pay.

Your license is the only thing you pay us. The core runs on infrastructure you already operate, so we estimate that too, using the sizing guide measured on our live demo.

20

Average over the month: nodes that scale down stop counting when they stop. Licenses start at 10 nodes.

Telemetry, across all nodes

About two per call between services.

How we estimated Datadog

Annual list prices, October 2026: Infrastructure Pro $15, APM $31 and Cloud Network Monitoring $5 per host per month, to cover what Ultraviolet captures on every node; logs $0.10 per GB ingested plus $1.70 per million lines indexed (15-day retention); trace ingestion past the 150 GB per APM host included. Discounts, longer log retention, indexed spans, custom metrics and RUM are not included.

Billing questions

How the meter works.

What counts as a node?
Any Linux machine, of any size, running an Ultraviolet collector — a Kubernetes node or a standalone host. A node counts while its collector is alive and stops the minute it is gone, so autoscaled, spot and batch nodes cost only the time they ran.
Are data volume, retention or users ever billed?
No. Spans, logs, metrics, retention and seats are unmetered. Keeping more data costs disk in your own environment, which the calculator above estimates.
What happens if we go over our committed node count?
Nothing stops. The product warns you and the extra node-minutes appear as overage at the same per-node rate. Ingest is never blocked.
How accurate is the infrastructure estimate?
It comes from the published sizing guide, measured on our live demo, and typical cloud list prices. Your rates and traffic will differ, so treat it as a starting point; we size every deployment with you before you commit.
Is there a minimum?
Yes — licenses start at 10 nodes ($250 a month). Smaller clusters are welcome; they are billed at the minimum.
Is there a discount for annual commitments or large fleets?
Yes. Talk to us for annual and volume pricing, and for air-gapped licenses.
