What we collect, and why

Last updated October 2, 2026

The short version: we ask for as little as we can, we use it to let you try the product and to talk to you about it, and we don't sell it or add you to a mailing list. The product itself runs in your environment and sends us none of your telemetry — this page is only about this website and the hosted live demo.

The live demo

When you open the live demo we collect:

We use it to sign you in, to send you one email to see how we can help, and to tell our team someone tried the demo. Your IP address is passed to the bot check (below) and isn't kept with your email.

Inside the demo, a cookie keeps you signed in. Like every Ultraviolet deployment, the demo keeps a security audit log: it records your sign-in and any attempt to change something, with your email, IP address and browser. It doesn't record the pages you view. The data you see in the demo is traffic from a sample shop, not anyone's personal data.

"Book a demo" form

The name, email, company and notes you enter are emailed to us so we can reply. Nothing else is done with them.

Services we use

Each handles data under its own privacy terms. This site has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and sets no cookies of its own.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep demo sign-ups and form messages until you ask us to delete them. Emailhello@uvobservability.com to see what we hold about you or to have it deleted, and we'll do it and confirm.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
